Title: Which version of msbuild?
Post by: jporkkahtc on October 07, 2021, 07:04:50 PM
I opened a *.sln file and build fails.
MSbuild is not in my system path.
In Slickedit, msbuild appears in the path:
Code: [Select]
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v3.5\MSBuild.exe
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\MSBuild.exe
So, slickedit must have found these?

My solution is Vs2017 (when I double-click from explorer, thats what I get - even though I have vs2019 also installed).

I have many versions of MSBuild.exe installed

Code: [Select]
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\MSBuild.exe
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v3.5\MSBuild.exe
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\MSBuild.exe

As a work around, start a command shell which already has the environment setup for the visual studio version you want to use and start SlickEdit from that shell.
