The following sequence on my virtual machine shows the "find in files" feature is broken when not in "Foreground" mode.
1) Run Slickedit
2) Search -> Find In Files
3) Search For: class
Look in: /opt/slickedit
File Types: *.e
Exclude: <blank>
Look in subfolders: ticked
All other options cleared
4) click Find
5) Dialog appears " unrecognized command ""(0) ". Click OK
6) tick Foreground search and select Global
7) click Find
8) Results appear as expected
My Setup is below.

Try 'Search: unrecognized command' an you'll get a number of useful hits to prev. postings covering this known issue. Good luck, HS2

This really needs to be fixed in VS. After doing the work around, you have to put up with
Fontconfig warning: no <cachedir> elements found. Check configuration.
Fontconfig warning: adding <cachedir>/var/cache/fontconfig</cachedir>
Fontconfig warning: adding <cachedir>~/.fontconfig</cachedir>
all over the place. And I mean all over the place. I have 12 of them in my .xsessions-erros in about 2 hours. And they are scattered throughout my system logs, too.

I have built a special version of the "vs" executable which links shared with the Xft related libraries. It should be available in the next beta. It will not be the default executable since it is not yet LSB compliant. This should correct this problem as well as others.
