Title: Can't select all (ctrl-A) in some dialog windows
Post by: TKasparek on September 29, 2015, 03:25:28 pm
In:
list-buffers
activate-files-project
activate-files-workspace
you can't do a select-all like you could in v19. I use this often to clean up my open files.

On another note, v19/v20 would allow you to hit ctrl-A after opening the list-buffers dialog and would put a non-printable character in the filter and search on it...

What emulation are you using? It seems to work in v19 and v20 in CUA emulation. In SlickEdit emulation (what I use), it doesn't work in either.

In any case, we will fix this in a future beta. Thanks for noticing.

I'm using CUA emulation. I'll try with default options in a bit...

If you rebound Ctrl+A in CUA emulation, then it would have broken it for the text box and combo box. In any case, this will be changed. Ctrl+A will almost be hardwired to select-all.

I am experiencing this issue in Brief emulation.
The following CUA selection keys do not work in the Brief ALT-B (list_buffers) window.

Alt-A
CTRL Up Arrow
CTRL Down Arrow
CTRL SHIFT Home
CTRL SHIFT End
CTRL HOME (HOME goes to top of list)
CTRL END (END goes to bottom of list)

This key assignments will be added for the next beta. Thanks for the good attention to detail.

Great - one more patch to drop :) I wasn't keen enough to request that in the past  :-[
Thanks, HS2
