Title: Command line and dialog box search histories not in sync
Post by: bunbun on January 23, 2008, 10:51:11 am
When I search for items on the command line, and then switch to
the search dialog box, I find that the search string is not set
correctly (to the command line history) even when I have
the "history retrieval" option set.
At the moment, I have hacked my editor to maintain consistency
between the command line and dialog box searches by modifying
find/replace and gui_find/replace. Surely this sort of inconsistency
is not desirable? (This is longstanding slickedit behaviour)

Agreed. I've also modified some things to workaround this issue for me, but I'd be happy to throw away these patches.
A consistent search/replace string history would be sufficient and a big help as the search flags are not fully 'compatible'.
