Title: Time-out when trying to connect to a server?
Post by: Wanderer on February 14, 2008, 01:12:39 pm
SlickEdit 12.0.3, WinXP

I have some projects configured to use version control.  When I try to open a project, and the VC server is unavailable, SlickEdit hangs.

Is there a way to configure a time-out so I can use SlickEdit in this situation (server unavailable)?  That is, set a max amount of time SlickEdit will wait for a server, then give up?

If not, what do I need to remove from the project file to unhook SlickEdit from the unavailable server?

    VCSLocalPath="SCC:<provider>:<localPath>">

Note that last '>' -- it needs to be saved to close the element above VCSProject.
