Title: No Bar to the right of the editor.
Post by: rentikd on March 14, 2008, 02:45:24 pm
I have grown so used to the little bar (Maybe 10 pixels) to the right of the scroll bar. I don't think I could switch to another Java editor without it. Being able to see a mark for all the errors in the file as well as a mark for all the occurrences of the currently selected variable is extremely useful. I had to switch back to the internal Java editor right away.

I already use SlickEdit for all my other editing, but loosing the right bar for Java is too much.

Yes, the right scroll bar in the Eclipse editor is a feature we hear a lot about at SlickEdit :).  We agree that it's very nice to have, and we are looking at implementing something very similar in a future release for all the markings that appear in an editor window: selections, live errors, build errors, tasks, etc.
