Title: System Verilog Build custom Log Parser
Post by: lom561 on January 08, 2010, 10:41:37 pm
Is there a way to create a customized log file parser that would show the errors in the eclipse "Problems" View from a system verilog compile?
If so, how would I do that?

That would require a custom plug-in to be built to do just that...unfortunately we don't have an API available in Slick-C to populate the Problems view in Eclipse, otherwise you could write the log file parser and accomplish this pretty easily.  For C++, Java, etc., the work of populating the Problems view is all handled by other plug-ins.

I'm going to file a feature request for the next major version of the plug-in (we release a major version in the Summer every year) to provide an API for interacting with the Problems view.  I think that would be a good tool.

I look forward to seeing this feature in the future.
