Title: Setup DIFFzilla for COBOL
Post by: Francisco Saúca Blattner on March 19, 2013, 07:46:04 am
Is there any configuration dialog in Eclipse for setting up several options for DIFFzilla? I would like to compare COBOL programs, so it should not take into account differences in columns 1..6 and 73..80, or ignore all commented out lines (with an asterisk in column 7).

We currently don't have any option for something like this in DIFFzilla.  A few releases ago we implemented 'Source Diff' mode, which will ignore whitespace and line endings...and it seems to me that something like this would fit in as an extension to 'Source Diff'.  I am going to file a feature request for this and hopefully we can look at it in a future release.  Thanks for the input :).
