How do I clear the MRU in the Project menu?

I have my projects organized into folders in the Project Menu. So, the MRU is just clutter to me. Is there a way to clear the MRU and keep my folder'ed list? Is there way to turn the MRU off or have it auto-clear occasionally.

options -> file options -> history.
Or search for history.
