Normally search results is docked on the bottom of the edit window.
#1
Grab this tool window and start dragging.
While holding the LMB, press ESC.
Continue dragging.
The Search results tool window is still attached to the mouse, but is now behind the Slick main window.
ESC ought to undo the drag in progress.
#2
Grab this tool window and start dragging.
While holding the LMB, press Alt-TAB and switch to another application.
Start typing - keyboard focus is on the other application.
Continue dragging - even though SLick doesn't have focus, you can still drag the search window around and drop it someplace.
ALT-TAB ought to cancel the drag and put the tool window back where it started.
#3
Grab this tool window and start dragging.
While holding the LMB, press Alt-TAB and switch to the desktop (on Win8, but this should work on Win7 too).
All apps minimize.
Continue dragging, and drop SearchResults.
Even though Slick is minimized, SearchResults isn't.
ALT-TAB ought to cancel the drag and put the tool window back where it started.
I hadn't noticed before, but tool windows being dragged appear as top level windows.
