when I type ctl-f or ctl-r, the find/replace search text remains whatever was there the last time I used the find/replace tool window.
I have set 'Tools->options->setting->editing->search->Initialize search string' set to 'Word at cursor'

Also,  when I type ctrl-f or ctrl-r, the focus does go the the Find and Replace Tool window but does not change which tab in that window to find (or replace for ctrl-r).

I tried this with both CUA and Codewrite keyboard emulations.

Reproduced. Only occurs when Find tool window is docked which you didn't mention.

This is fixed in v19.0.1 which will available soon. Watch for a forum post.

Are you sure it only occurs when the Find dialogue is docked? It happens docked/undocked for me.

I can't reproduce these problems unless the tool window is docked.

I hope the following additional observations are helpful:
(1) If the undocked Find dialogue is NOT showing, then ctrl-F populates the Search for: string as expected.
(2) If the undocked Find dialogue is showing, then ctrl-F does not work as desired.

That's fixed in v19.0.1 as well.
