Full screen SE on OS X
« on: August 28, 2015, 01:35:46 AM »
I started playing with SE on OS X and ran into annoying problem. I am working on a laptop and would like to maximize SE. OS X allocates new space for every maximized program (it's like a workspace in Linux). However, when I open find window, weird things happen. First time I open it, find window maximizes and probably occupies entire screen. However, it stays blank, so I can't really use it. Luckily pressing escape closes it.
When I open find window again, it opens it in desktop, which is completely different space than SE. Is there any way to open find window on the same space as SE?

Thanks,
Alex.

Definitely a reprodicable problem on Yosemite. Problem was worse for me than what you described. Tool windows like the Find and Replace tool window appear to have the problem. non-tool window dialogs don't have the problem (like the Calculator). We will look into this.

Thanks for posting this.

Good. Do you have an estimate when to expect a fix?

Thanks,
Alex.

Best guess is 1-2 months. There are other bugs in the queue too.

Oh, ok. My question was more if you plan to fix it in v19 or in v20. In any case take your time.
Thanks.

At the moment, our current plan is to fix it for v20. Hard to say if it can be back ported without knowing how much has to change and if too much testing is necessary.
