Store the window layout for each screen setup.
« on: August 02, 2011, 02:21:14 PM »
Hi!
I'm using different screen setups (dual screen, rotated,...) and floating tool windows like the Preview tool window. It would be great if I could store the window layout for each screen setup.
Greetings,

It would be nice if SlickEdit kept multiple window layouts and detect when switching between one having one monitor and having two monitors. I run with two monitors on my desktop at work but when I remotely log in I have one monitor. When I have two monitors I put tool windows on the second monitor. When I log in remotely the tool windows become invisible and I have to disable them and then re-enable them to get them back to the primary monitor.

Have SlickEdit remember multiple window layouts selected by how many monitors are available. My normal workstation has 2 monitors but I frequently remote connect and then I only have one monitor. Currently every time I switch I need to move various windows like tool windows and floating windows around.

I have mentioned this before myself. My issue is that I have a laptop with 2 19" 4:3 monitors when docked and the native 16:9 1080x1024 when undocked.
