Tab key not working

When I press the tab key to insert spaces/tab into a file, nothing happens.  If I type spaces, this works.  I can not find the setting which changes this behavior.

Try going to Document > [lang] Options... > Editing.  There are several settings for how the tab key is handled there.

Thanks for the response.  I tried that, but there is no language associated with the file extension.  So I tried going to 'All Languages', but that doesn't work either.
Still looking for a solution

To go to the settings for the current file you are editing (Document>[Language] Options). In this case, I'm guessing it's "Plain Text"
