Open non-existing file as new file not working in 26.0.2.1
« on: April 28, 2022, 08:47:30 PM »
I usually create a new file by doing Ctrl+O, get OS's open dialog (don't have Ctrl-O go to smart open) and then navigate to a directory and then type the name of a file that doesn't exist yet.

This lets me create a new file. I've been doing it this way for many years with SE. I like doing it this way.

When I tried it today with 26.0.2.1 (Linux x64) I get this warning and I don't get to edit the new file in the editor:

Quote
Error opening file: Code page not installed or not valid: <full path to my 'new' file>

Thanks for posting.

Installers rebuilt and updated with a fix for this. This problem is only on Linux. Download a new installer and reinstall.
